Namiki Emperor Chinkin Peony
Namiki Emperor Chinkin Peony
The Namiki Emperor Chinkin Peony is created using the Chinkin technique, in which the design is chiselled into the pen material and then inlaid with gold.
The Namiki Emperor fountain pen is embellished with a traditional 18K gold nib with the iconic silhouette of Mount Fuji. This mammoth 18-carat gold nib no. 50 is very large and makes the nibs of all other writing instruments pale. For this reason, he is nicknamed "No. 50 Jumbo".
The Namiki Emperor has a dropper filling system and an incredible ink capacity of 6ml. It uses the same ink stop function as the original Namiki dropper pens from the 1930s, which regulates the flow and prevents leakage. Once the barrel is filled with the included dropper, the section can be screwed back on. The ink is now contained inside the pen barrel. Turning the knob at the end of the pen opens a valve and ink can flow from the barrel to the tank connected to the writing section. When you close the valve again, only the ink in the tank is used for writing. Once the tank is empty, it can be refilled with ink from the drum. For longer writing sessions it is also possible to leave the valve open, for a continuous flow.
