Pelikan M1000 Raden Stardust
Pelikan M1000 Raden Stardust
Limited edition Pelikan Raden M1000 Stardust "Hoshikuzu": the universe in the palm of your hand. The Pelikan Raden Limited Edition is the spectacular result of the encounter between two unique traditions: Pelikan's German expertise in the creation of fine writing instruments, backed by over 185 years of experience and innovation, and the extraordinary artistic heritage of centuries-old Japanese decorative techniques. The M1000 Stardust "Hoshikuzu" is a poetic homage to the stardust scattered across the midnight sky, a vision brought to life by renowned artist Yamazaki Mushu and his collective, "Hoshu-kai," a revered group of Kaga maki-e masters based in Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Made using the ancient Raden technique, this masterpiece takes shape from a layer of deep black Japanese lacquer, called Urushi, which recalls the depths of the cosmos. Next, three varieties of finely chopped abalone shell, are meticulously arranged in vertical strips using a traditional Funzutsu (powder tube). When light hits the surface, an iridescent shimmer dances on the pen: shades of purple, blue, green and silver flicker like distant stars. The delicate Raden is encased in layers of clear lacquer, polished and finished for a long time to produce a glossy, shiny finish. Paired with bright 24k gold-plated details, including the classic Pelikan clip and double cap bands, this pen represents timeless luxury. Each M1000 Stardust is individually signed by the artist and features a limited edition issue applied with the maki-e technique. The pen is contained in an elegant paulownia wood box, reflecting the respect and care that goes into its creation. We are proud to present the Pelikan Raden M1000 Stardust "Hoshikuzu", a cosmic fusion of East and West, tradition and innovation, where each sparkling strip tells a story of celestial wonder.
