Pelikan Souverän M1000 Raden Red Infinity
Raden is a traditional Japanese decorative art. Working with small fragments of precious shells, the artist creates a striped fountain pen, unique and distinctive, an impressive one-of-a-kind work of art. Each piece, made individually, is created by hand and this is also one of the reasons that makes  M1000 Raden Red Infinity an exceptional writing instrument. Pelikan applies this wonderful Japanese decorative art on the base model of his famous Souverän fountain pen in size M1000.  The decorative motif has no beginning or end, a choice that suggests the idea of infinity, a concept also linked to happiness, prosperity, development and professional success. The M1000 Red Infinity fountain pen is made with fragments of Abalone, a small Australian shell, whose green shades, used to make this precious fountain pen , are as difficult to find as they are valuable. The first step to create the Raden M1000 Red Infinity fountain pen is to make the surface red, using the special Japanese lacquer Urushi. By carefully spraying silver powder, the red color becomes sparkling creating plays of light when you move the fountain pen in your hands. The rectangular stripes are made of particles of precious mother-of-pearl of green color. In the next step the strips are fixed to the cap and the barrel thanks to a lacquer coating. Finally, the artist individually traces signs and numbers on each fountain pen, using the precious Maki-e technique. The Raden M1000 Red Infinity fountain pen is a work of art equipped with a finely perforated 18 carat gold nib in the size EF, F, M or B. Each pen is accompanied by a gift box typical of the Japanese tradition, made of Paulownia wood. Pelikan Souverän, M1000 Raden Red Infinity  will be available in June 2023 in a limited edition of 400 pieces worldwide.
