The Montblanc Meisterstück Romeo & Juliet collection draws inspiration from Shakespeare's tragic story of love and fate, reinterpreting the passion, luminosity and duality of this famous literary work through refined materials, symbolic details and the Maison's distinctive craftsmanship.

Rich in metaphors and emotional contrasts, the story of Romeo and Juliet is the conceptual heart of the collection. To bring the themes of the play to life, Montblanc artisans have transformed Shakespeare's narrative art and its most powerful symbols into intricate design elements that appear in the six editions of the collection.

The edition unites Romeo and Juliet in a single design, symbolising the fusion of two worlds. The petrol-coloured degradé lacquer cap and barrel are decorated with a leaf pattern featuring a gold-plated outline, evoking the lush green of the Capulet orchard .  On the top of the cap, the white Montblanc emblem is framed by a contrasting red, while the letters "C" and "M" intertwine, referring to the families whose rivalry determines the fate of lovers: this melancholic fate is also expressed by the decoration of thorny branches on the top of the cap and the cone. The solid Au 750 gold nib decorated with "R + J" pays homage to the enduring bond that transcends conflict.
