Montblanc Bruce Lee Fountain Pen
A slender figure flies through the air, with the soles of his feet pointing forward like an arrow shot. It is an image inextricably linked to the name of Bruce Lee. The actor, director, philosopher and martial arts legend set a standard that is still aspired to today. Born in San Francisco in 1940, he grew up in Hong Kong and has been the embodiment of two worlds since the beginning: East and West. Films such as The Wrath of China Strikes Back (1971) or From China with Fury (1972) and a legendary fight scene in Chen's Scream Also Terrorizes the West (1972) made him famous all over the world. It was precisely the fusion of an exemplary physique, a philosophical depth and a strong stage presence that made him so unique and prompted Montblanc to dedicate the Great Characters Tribute to Bruce Lee Special Edition to him and, in particular, to Bruce Lee the actor.
Bruce Lee's birth, on November 27, 1940, coincided not only with the hour, but also with the year of the dragon. A dragon also plays a key role in the design of the Special Edition: a drawing of this mythological creature covered in scales, made by Bruce Lee, inspired the motif depicted on the black precious resin of the body. The ruthenium-coated cone is embellished with a hornet flying around it, a reference to the television series that paved the way for Bruce Lee to stardom. The talented actor nicknamed the Little Dragon is honoured with a refined representation of the Chinese character meaning "dragon" on the Montblanc emblem in white precious resin. The legendary outfit worn by Bruce Lee in the film Chen's Last Fight inspired the choice of yellow precious resin for the cap. In homage to the decorative frame of the original poster of the film The 3 of Operation Dragon, thin geometric lines outline the outline of its glossy surface. The refinedly textured clip of the Great Characters Homage to Bruce Lee Special Edition takes the shape of a nunchaku stick, while the cap ring resembles a bamboo cane. The hand-crafted rhodium-coated Au 585 solid gold nib is embellished with the yin and yang symbol.
