Montblanc Around the World in 80 Days
Montblanc presents the second Meisterstück Around The World In 80 Days collection, which pays homage to another leg of Phileas Fogg's travels. The collection, which includes the Resin LeGrand and Classicique writing instruments, also with the Doué and Solitaire editions, and the Limited Edition 811, draws inspiration from Fogg's adventures and his thirst for exploration.
The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne's famous adventure novel " Around the World in 80 Days ". The Classique fountain pen in fine anthracite resin is inspired by the second leg of the journey, from Bombay to Yokohama. In this second adventurous stage, the protagonists travel on a majestic elephant, which appears in a scroll on the hood. The clip features an ace of red lacquered paintings and the cone bears the engraving of a motif inspired by Princess Auda's jewels and the suits of the cards, representing Fogg's bet to make the journey in 80 days. The upper part of the cap features the embossing of the duration of the trip, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total.
As for the fountain pen, the writing instrument is completed by a hand-made nib in 14K gold, decorated with a hot air balloon and with the dates 20/10 and 14/11: Fogg leaves, in fact, Bombay on October 20 at 20:00 and Yokohama on November 14 at 18:00.
