The "Delta 39+1" fountain pen collection was created to celebrate the return of Delta, Artisans of Writing, to the international market of fine writing instruments.
It is a limited edition of only 399 unique pieces, made of rare celluloid and a very original design.
It brings with it an innovation represented by an unprecedented weight balancing system, just patented, designed to offer the user a personalized comfort, called, "WRITE BALANCE"

1. "Write Balance" is a small gold-plated metal "weight", inserted inside a threaded cone at the lower end of the fountain pen; Weight of about 2gr.

2. It offers the possibility of being able to choose the best personal balance of the pen body, depending on your grip and writing characteristics using the fountain pen.

Specifying better: in the absence of "added weight", therefore with the inside of the cone, hollow and empty, the fountain pen has a center of gravity slightly shifted forward, so as to accompany the hand during writing. Instead, by adding the "weight", the body of the fountain pen tends to remain neutral, leaving the user the possibility to express his own calligraphic style with a greater personal character.

 Since, between the two balancing options, the "delta" consists of a "weight" of only 2gr., the different sensation may seem minimal, but it becomes significant in terms of feeling and pleasantness of use, especially during long writing sessions.

"39+1" features an 18K gold nib engraved with the Delta logo, available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and Stub 1.1 strokes.  

 The upper end of the cap is enriched by a band in solid silver 925 thousandths plated in gold (vermeil), on which is engraved in high relief an ancient decoration of the Pompeian era, a typical design shown on all the most prestigious fountain pens produced by Delta.
